PRIMUS Telecommunications Announces Deal for Global Reseller VOIP Service Offering

PRIMUS Telecommunications Group, Incorporated (Nasdaq:PRTL) Wednesday announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, PRIMUS Telecommunications, Incorporated (PRIMUS), which first entered the Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) market in 2000, has signed an agreement for its Global Reseller VOIP product with COMSAT International who is among the first major telecommunications service providers to launch the new product.
The PRIMUS Global Reseller service enables broadband service providers, ISPs, cable companies and other large and small telecom service providers around the world to private label PRIMUS's VOIP platform in order to enter quickly their respective markets with a VOIP offering. PRIMUS provides complete network accessibility for the reseller's customers and their VOIP traffic, and offers them a sophisticated web enabled tool to self-provision customers, set credit limits, manage billing and collections, provide real-time visibility into customer call detail records, and provide the reseller's customers the ability to view their call detail records on line.
