Members of the semiconductor industry selected the Most Respected Private, Emerging Public and Public Fabless Company Award winners by identifying the companies they most respect in terms of products, vision and future opportunities. This year's private company winner is Inphi Corporation; the emerging public company winner is Atheros Communications, Inc., and the public company winner is NVIDIA Corporation. GSA and financial analysts evaluated the financial health of public fabless semiconductor companies by comparing a number of financial indices to determine the winner of this year's Best Financially Managed Company Award, MediaTek Inc. Private fabless companies that doubled revenue over eight consecutive quarters ending June 2007 were eligible to receive the Outstanding Financial Performance by a Private Fabless Company Award. This year's winner is RMI (Raza Microelectronics, Inc.). Public fabless companies that doubled either revenue or net income over eight consecutive quarters ending June 2007 were eligible to receive the Outstanding Financial Performance by a Public Fabless Company Award. Winners include Sigma Designs, Inc. and Techwell, Inc. GSA's Venture Capital Advisory Council selected the Fabless Start-Up to Watch Award winner by identifying the company that has demonstrated the potential to positively change its market or the semiconductor industry in general through the innovative use of or a new application for semiconductor technology. The winner is SiBEAM, Inc. The Favorite Fabless Picks winners are based on historical and projected data. Arnab Chanda of Deutsche Bank Securities chose Broadcom Corporation, and Mark Lipacis of Morgan Stanley selected Cavium Networks. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award recognizes individuals for their exceptional contributions to drive the development, innovation, growth and long-term opportunities for the fabless semiconductor industry. The 2007 award was presented to Gordon Campbell, executive director, TechFarm Ventures.
