The U.S. District Court in the District of Delaware has ordered the
dismissal of two patent infringement claims originally filed by Analog
Devices, Inc. (ADI) against Knowles Electronics. The order was issued
pursuant to the withdrawal of its claims by Analog Devices under a
stipulation of dismissal signed by both parties.
Jeffrey Niew, President of Knowles Electronics, stated, “From the outset
of this case, we believed it to be without merit, and simply a response
to our pending action with the ITC against ADI. The expedited dismissal
of half of ADI's patent infringement claims brought in the Delaware
action substantiates our belief. We are confident both in the legal
process, and that the remaining claims in the Delaware action will be
resolved in Knowles' favor."
