TWINLINX announced that following the demonstration of its MyMax
NFC sticker at Cartes in Paris in November 2009, the company is now
ready to supply development Kits and to ship MyMax NFC stickers for
first field trials.
MyMax® is a thin electronic sticker designed to upgrade existing and
future Bluetooth phones with full NFC functionality (integrating both
card and reader modes) therefore opening up the way for the rapid market
development and mass deployment of NFC applications
¨Following nominations at Cartes 2009 and Mobile World Congress 2010, we
are delighted to have been nominated for the Cards in Asia SESAMES
awards in Hong Kong. It is a clear and continuing recognition of the
potential our MyMax NFC sticker as a real and ready solution for the
rapid deployment of NFC applications¨. said Steve Lewis, Twinlinx VP
marketing.
Thanks to its patented and unique architecture, the MyMax sticker is
independent from the phone as it can integrate any contactless chip as a
secure element MyMax totally unlocks the current situation where very
few NFC phones are available and is compatible with over 200 phones.
¨ Following the successful introduction of the NFC sticker concept in
Europe and partnerships with Sagem Orga, RATP and Bouygues Telecom, we
decided to turn our focus to the Asian market which has always been an
early adopter of Contactless and NFC technology” said Jacek Kowalski
Twinlinx founder and CEO ¨ We intend to build the success for our
product by developing strong local partnerships, product readiness and
operation as expected by the market combined with a long term
development strategy aiming at reducing the sticker cost and thickness
whilst not forgetting to continually work on making the sticker more
attractive to consumers.¨
The MyMax sticker will be demonstrated at the Cards in ASIA expo in Hong
Kong on the TWINLINX stand 3D 17 on the French pavilion. Development
kits will be ready for shipment the beginning of April and first volume
deliveries are scheduled for May.
