3rd International GCA India Conference for PR & Communication Professionals to Begin on 26 November 2009 in Bangalore

The Global Communication Association (GCA) and Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) are making their final preparations towards organizing the 3rd International GCA India Conference for public relations & communication professionals on 26th and 27th of November 2009, in Bangalore, India. Industry experts, media professionals, academicians, policy makers, corporate executives, representatives from NGOs and research scholars from around the world have contributed different papers relating to the conference theme “Global Village – Are we there yet?”. The selected papers under various sub-topics will be presented during India Conference 2009, organized by The Global Communication Association in alliance with Public Relations Council of India from November 26-27, 2009 at The Lalit Ashok Hotel in Bangalore. The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and scholars from the world to discuss topical issues related to globalization, media and technology.

The conference focuses on “Global Village –Are we there yet?” Advancement in digital communication has changed the world into a Global Village. The concept of Global village has generated a new image of Technology in various spheres of life. His Excellency, Honb’le Governor of Karnataka, Shri Hans Raj Bhardwaj has kindly consented to be the chief guest and inaugurate the conference. Shri K. Jairaj, Additional Chief Secretary - Energy, Government of Karnataka has agreed to be the guest of honour and deliver the keynote address. The conference will cover a very wide range of topics like media technology, globalization, corporate social responsibility, trends in inter-cultural, international communication, media and politics, media convergence, the business and impact of global media, to name a few. Many other industry and academic dignitaries including vice-chancellors of different universities are expected to participate in the conference.
