Round One Network Pvt Ltd, (www.roundone.in) a Delhi based internet platform started by INSEAD MBA Nishant Mathur, completed its beta trial and launched services today. Round One's unique model enables jobseekers to register for unofficial phone interviews with employees in a company, and earn a job referral from them. Employees at over 120 companies, including Accenture, American Express, Bank of New York Mellon, Capital IQ, Deloitte, Google, Evalueserve, HP, Infibeam, JM Financial, McKnsey, Nielsen, Samsung, TATA Motors, and ZS Associates, have interviewed and referred candidates through Round One during its beta trial.
Round One is the first company globally, to launch this interview/referral based recruitment model. During its beta trial, Round One registered over five thousand jobseekers and successfully placed many of them. The company has been active in all industries in the services sector, with a focus on Financial Services, Software, KPOs, Banking, and Consulting. Employees that join Round One as interviewers receive points for each jobseeker they assess, and are able to forward the best resumes through their employee referral program, thereby earning their company's referral bonuses. Firms have been able to reduce recruitment budgets by relying less on recruiters, and have also improved the quality of recruits via Round One's additional screening – the employee interview.
