3075 Ford IKONs sold in January
 
New Delhi, Delhi, India:  Ford India has begun the new year on a winning note. The company sold an impressive 3075 Ford IKONs in January 2001. The sales figure includes strong domestic sales of 1555 Ford IKONs, and export sales of 1520 Ford IKON CKDs during the month, reflecting an 18 per cent growth over sales in December 2000 and 182 per cent growth over sales in January 2000. Mr John Fink, Vice President - Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford India, said, "Last year was excellent for us. This year seems to hold greater promise for the Josh Machine. We are happy to see the Ford family expanding rapidly. Our capturing a 23 per cent market share in January clearly shows our dominant position in the IKON segment. Ford India has launched a new advertising campaign that targets people with josh and reflects their active lifestyle.
