One Day to go for The Growth Net 2015
March 25th-27th, Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi
New Delhi, Delhi, India

The three-day economic conclave, The Growth Net 2015, begins on March 25th with a stellar line up of speakers for highly-relevant panel discussions and keynote sessions. Prominent policy makers, CEO’s, heads of institutions, academics and economists will converge at the event to deliberate on current economic and societal trends emerging from the new growth countries. The topics cover diverse areas of interest such as entrepreneurship, skill development, sustainable growth, talent management, frugal innovation, urbanization and water scarcity. The highly anticipated sessions include:

  • Keynote Speeches  by
    • Mr. Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister
    • Ms. Sushma Swaraj External Affairs Minister,
    • Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad,  Minister of Communications and Information Technology
    • Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy
    • Mr. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
  • Panel discussion on ‘Modi magic’ leading India and its economy
  • National Security Advisor Mr. Ajit Doval, to speak on emerging security challenges
  • Panel discussion on urbanization as a growth generator
This year’s theme “Creating New Drivers of Growth” draws its relevance from an emerging global context where slower growth is a new fixture among emerging market countries. In the new constellation of economic vitality, a number of dynamic economies such as Indonesia, South Africa, Singapore, Vietnam, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and the Gulf nations, to name a few, are increasingly latching on to the growth momentum generated by China, India and Brazil, powering global investment, finance and trade.

However, the present slowdown does not change the fact that the majority of the new growth countries remain the most dynamic group of economies in the world with growth rates expected to remain two to three times higher than those of the developed economies for the foreseeable future. These countries comprising the new constellation of growth will continue to benefit from the demographics dividend, rapid urbanization, a growing middle class developing new consumption patterns and from the positive impact of fast growing intra-regional trade to sustain their growth. The Growth Net has been designed to answer the questions raised by this new world order.

Mr. NK Singh, Chairman, The Growth Net Summit and Senior Member, Bharatiya Janata Party said “The Growth Net is a one of its kind business event that links the emerging economies of Asia, Africa and Latin America and brings out the prevailing economic narrative across the world. As in the previous editions, the event has remarkable speakers who will deliberate on common opportunities in emerging economies and help in generating actionable outcomes for sustainable growth.”

This year the organizers have officially partnered with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and also collaborated with CNBC TV 18 as part of the media outreach.
