Reissue: John Porter Makes a Multi-Million Dollar Investment in Shoogloo Group

John Porter, a technology & medical businesses veteran and the Founding Chairman of I-Spire LTD, an internet operating company (best known as the grandson of Sir Jack Cohen, founder of Tesco), has invested in Digital Marketing Group – Shoogloo to acquire 50% stake. The deal involves a multi-million dollars’ commitment in the project. The investment would be utilised to equally sustain the functioning of various verticals of Shoogloo Group including Shoogloo Mobile, Shoogloo Digital and Shoogloo Media.
I-Spire LTD was founded by John Porter in 2000 as an Internet operating company focusing on Internet, Media & Technology Investments including Cheapflights.com, Deal Group Media PLC & Ministry of Sound Holdings. LD Sharma is a veteran in the performance digital industry in India having set up various international affiliate networks in India including dgm and Optimise Media (formerly OMG India).

He participated as a Director until VeriFone was sold to Hewlett Packard in 1997 for over $1 Billion. John was also the founding Chairman of Redbus Interhouse PLC which merged with Telecity in 2006 to create Europe's largest independent colocation provider. John Porter has served on the Advisory Council of the Graduate School of Business, Stanford, and serves on the Advisory Council of Said Business School, Oxford. He is a graduate of Oxford University, UK, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Paris and Stanford University, USA.
