Reissue: JantaKhoj, India's Leading People Background Verification Service, Leverages Amazon Cloud using stackArmor's Agile Platform
JantaKhoj migrates to Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2
Bethesda, Maryland, United States & Hyderabad, India

Amazon Web Services (AWS) solution partner stackArmor today announced the successful migration of India’s top people background verification company JantaKhoj to the Amazon cloud. JantaKhoj seamlessly migrated its operations into the Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 platform using stackArmor’s Agile Cloud Transition (ACT)TM  methodology with zero downtime and data loss.
JantaKhoj, a premium background verification service provider and the first people search engine that covered more than 500 million Indians, relies on proprietary algorithms, software and systems to operate.  Ensuring the highest availability and integrity of its database is critical to meet customer requirements. Prior to the migration JantaKhoj experienced availability and equipment failure issues in a legacy data center.
“We’ve always been aware of Amazon’s cloud-computing platform but hesitated to migrate, thinking it might be difficult to manage our site in the cloud. stackArmor proved us wrong,” said JantaKhoj Chairman Ajit Gupta, who founded the company in 2009. “stackArmor not only suggested the most optimal configuration for our site, they helped us in end-to-end migration. We are now able to easily manage the site through AWS.”
stackArmor’s certified AWS Solution Architects migrated the JantaKhoj site to a secure AWS Virtual Private Cloud with RDS, EBS, and S3. Since the migration to AWS, JantaKhoj has tripled performance improvement and increased reliability through best practices for cloud operations, such as regular backups with snapshots on highly available, secure and redundant AWS S3 storage that has 99.99% availability SLAs.
“JantaKhoj deals with sensitive data that requires the highest security, availability, and reliability,” said Gaurav “GP” Pal, Principal, stackArmor. “Based on our experience in engineering full-stack cloud solutions for healthcare, financial services, government and security-focused commercial clients, we implemented a cost-effective and highly optimized solution on AWS selecting optimal EC2 instances, RDS, Encryption and S3 to ensure that data is safe and secure, and the site performs optimally.”
After a careful analysis of current and future requirements, stackArmor migrated the site to the AWS Virtual Private Cloud because it provides the high security, reliability and the flexibility JantaKhoj requires. The AWS Singapore Region was chosen because of its ability to deliver high site traffic from the Asian region.
“The migration of JantaKhoj to the Amazon cloud is a milestone for us and allows us to grow our business faster and provide the scalability required to support increased customer traffic and load,” said Tarun Bangari, JantaKhoj Founder and CEO.

Since migrating to the AWS cloud platform, JantaKhoj has started implementing DevOps practices by creating a Dev, Test and Production pipeline using the wide variety of instances and services available as part of the platform, according to CEO Bangari.
"We are thrilled to see JantaKhoj leverage the AWS Cloud to power their background verification service and deliver a highly reliable, secure solution to their customers. Our APN Partners, like stackArmor, enable enterprises to migrate to AWS using well-architected solutions that deliver on the many benefits of the cloud - from cost savings to operational efficiency," said Nitin Gupta, Head of Worldwide Financial Services Partners, Amazon Web Services, Inc.
